General information about Clipr blades
The Clipr. Snap-On clipper blades are made from high-quality high-carbon steel. The material of this steel ensures that the cutting blade stays 75% cooler and sharper for longer than with normal steel.
What is the difference between a Skiptooth blade and a regular blade?
Skiptooth means staggered teeth. Alternating long and short teeth. During clipping, the comb of the blade combs through the coat, first combing large clumps of hair and then small clumps. And then they are cut off by the cutting blade. A Skiptooth blade is essentially a blade with coarser teeth than a regular blade. Skiptooth blades are particularly suitable for coats that are difficult to comb and very thick coats. Skiptooth blades are available in 4 different cutting lengths: 3.2mm (No. 7), 6.3mm (No. 5), 9mm (No. 4), 13mm (No. 3), and 16mm (No. 2).
How to get a better clipping experience?
For a smoother/better clipping experience, maintenance is important. Maintenance such as oiling the blades before and after every 5-10 minutes during clipping. This will give you a smoother and better clipping experience. When the clipping performance of the blades deteriorates, the blades are dull and therefore need to be sharpened.
Cleaning the Clipr. Snap-On clipper blades
For a longer lifespan of the blade itself and the cutting blades, it is important to thoroughly clean the Clipr. clipper blades after use. Cleaning the blades is easy to do by removing them from the clipper after clipping and cleaning them. After cleaning, dry them and re-oil them. Then store the blade in a dry, warm place. This prevents the material from rusting or oxidizing.
